Maybe this isn't your area of expertise, but have you got any ideas how would go about moving towards a more "femme dandy" style as a guy? I've got the "dandy" part down fine

First of all, hell yes. This question has layers of wonderful.

Second of all, you’re correct, this is not quite my area of expertise: but as an ardent and frankly veteran admirer of femme boys, I can provide a few observations on how a guy may go about feminizing himself within the dandy aesthetic.

- You may want to let your hair grow out as much as you can, depending on what flatters the symmetry of your face & your comfort levels. Even letting your hair grow out a bit longer than the standard male haircuts will help. If this is doable for you, I think this is the most instantaneous & effective affectation, especially if you have waves or curls. (Don’t allow yourself to get too scruffy: that’s distinctly masculinizing. Be groomed, or at least with a wildness about you. Or, well, do if you like it & be feminine in other ways. :D)

- Feminine fabrics like lace or tulle could conceivably be combined with masculine standards for a femme effect. For instance, if you can find a shirt with lace accents, it could look stunning under a sleek black blazer. (I think a woman’s shirt could even work, given the circumstances, but remember that it should fit you well!)

- Tasteful makeup. Eye makeup in particular: it can be as dramatic or subtle as you like it to be, and you will be able to get away with a great deal. Of course, the more visible makeup, the more femme you’ll be. Enlist help or the army of makeup tutorials on youtube to explore issues like amount of application & color palate. (Also: moisturizer & sunscreen is of vital importance! This is for everyone, not just aspiring femmes, but I like to remind people when I can.)

- Shoes are such an important dandy staple that I would attempt to find shoes within the masculine parameters, but with feminizing touches. For instance, a sturdy boot with slight heels would work quite well, or with a pretty buckle.

- You can definitely get away with feminine accessories on an otherwise masculine outfit; for instance, earrings would be marvelous, as well as necklaces, brooches, etc. Depending on your tastes I would feel quite free to shop in the woman’s section for these: go as girly as you like (or don’t; the effect will be achieved regardless!).

Third of all, send me pictures to post!
